Bali is a beautiful island with depth of spiritual & cultural value. That’s why so many people in the world love & enjoy Bali and the Balinese people who are known for their friendliness, genuine & humility.
Yet, they are very strict with holiness of temples area and any natural things such as mountains, waterfalls and river. For Hinduism, everything has a soul and value of respect.
Here is some strong advice when you’re travelling to Bali:
- Don’t do drugs or do anything against the law ; stealing, bring hotels/villas’ property, destruction of public (get drunk & interfere the public interest, vandalism, do porn photo/video, etc)
- Do wear proper clothes when you are NOT on the beach. Don’t wear a bikini in public area even though Bali is humid and has hot weather.
FYI: Bali island is apart of Indonesia (the biggest moslem country in the world). - In the Temple area: don’t sit at any temple or do something stupid for the sake of your photo collection or media social content.
You should follow the temples’ rules, example; wear Sarong /long cloth to cover your knee below. Temple is a holy and sacred area; it is not only a tourism site.
Balinese & Hinduism come to a Temple to pray to their God, please show some respect. - Don’t litter anywhere, let’s keep Bali clean.
- Pick pocket & snatching happens, so be aware of your hand phone & sling bags while you’re walking on public area and in night clubs.
- Please ask your guide/ local people, how’s their rules in each area, it would help you to get along & enjoy Bali without harming yourself and others.
